MK Grid Range Overview
MK Grid Plus is a modular switching system including switches, indicators, dimmers, secret key switches, printed 20amp double switches and buzzer units, making it the ideal system for commercial, public and residential buildings alike. Without any requirement for special tools, Mk Grid modules are extremely easy to fit and change, simply clipping into the mounting frame.
What You Need:
A typical MK Grid installation will include the following:
1) Back Box : Either flush or surface. MK Grid Flush boxes are 3 digit numbers, i.e 891, whilst surface boxes are 5 digit numbers such as K8891
2) Mounting Frame : Also known as a Grid Yoke, the frame screws into the box and holds the modules which clip into it. The frames are designed specifically to take the number of modules for that installation, from 1 (K3701) to 4 (K3704). Installations of modules above four use multiple frames per box.
3) Module : The MK Grid Module range is vast, incorporating switches, indicator modules, fuse modules and TV modules. One of the most popular uses of MK Grid is in installations where 20amp switches are marked to denote the appliance they are controlling, for example, 'Cooker', Washing Machine', 'Tumble Dryer' etc.
4) Frontplate : Available in White, Aluminium, Matt Chrome, Satin Brass or Polished Chrome MK Grid Front plates will fit Grid installations of 1 module up to 24
