Looks like just another light switch but with a very specific function.

For use only in lighting circuits that have a 2 way switch of some kind at either end with an intermediate switch in between them. If you have 3 switches in your home that all control one light, the one in the middle will be an intermediate switch. Using a 4 terminal connection rather than 3, it is not for use in any other situation.

Manufactured to BS En 60669-1 standards, the switch is 10 Amp, 10AX inductive rated. Featuring generously sized terminals with captive screws, fitting the BG 813 Intermediate switch should be quick and simple.
